This is a role that will impact on the quality of every aspect of our operations and help to secure our position as one of the premier quality bus operating companies in the capital. Our network of routes across Central, West and South-West London carries 155 million passengers covering a total of 23 million miles. With more than 2,300 staff and maintaining a fleet of some 650 buses, we operate from garages in Fulwell, Hounslow, Hounslow Heath, Shepherd's Bush, Stamford Brook, Park Royal, Tolworth and Twickenham.
Based in our Business Development Department at Fulwell Bus Garage, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data from London Buses relating to the quality of bus services, including Quality of Service Indicators, Driver Quality Monitoring and Mystery Traveller Surveys. You will then produce reports and disseminate information throughout the company, followed up by investigations at garage level and responses back to London Buses.
The role also includes key liaison with the London Buses performance team, and will require close liaison with the Bus Priority Manager on a wide range of issues such as route surveys, mileage reports, Hyperion reports and investigations. You will also have additional responsibilities in helping with the preparation of tender submissions and other key areas in the Business Development Department.
With a good geographical knowledge of the London United operational area, you should have a strong understanding of the current London Buses contractual performance targets and tendering regime and the ability to work with a number of key internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills will be essential, with associated IT competency.
You will need to be a good communicator, and have excellent time-management and planning skills, along with the ability to work substantially under your own initiative.
